Description

The North Pulse is a premier freestyle 3-strut kite designed to set your heart pumping. Specifically designed for fast, responsive steering, the Pulse is the ultimate in performance freestyle, that will also boost and mega loop with ease.

The explosive pop, powerful fast turns and responsive steering of our high-performance Hybrid-C kite will set your heart pumping. The Pulse comes alive in unhooked Freestyle, and makes landing even the most technical tricks instinctive. Its upright, low sweep design ensures the twist introduced by the steering impulse goes much deeper into the centre of the kite, so it turns throughout the entire canopy and the power delivery is constant through the entire loop.

The leaner profile entry and slightly higher aspect ratio of the Pulse makes it efficient and smooth-handling, especially in extreme overpowered conditions. 

The 2024 Pulse has an increased performance and lift, drive through the kite loop, better recovery and improved slack line and pop. North have reduced the amount of Dacron reinforcement material and introduced lighter weight bladders in all sizes for a lighter, faster-flying kite. The Pulse is the ultimate in performance freestyle, with impressive freeride capabilities for super-high boosts and kite-loops.

Enhanced impulse slack means landing even the most technical tricks becomes instinctive. Made to excel in strong winds, and overcome whatever Mother Nature can throw at you.

Profile Transition Panels:

An extra panel that connects to the leading edge seam to ensure a precise lateral profile shape is maintained as close to the leading edge as possible, creating a smooth transition from the segmented leading edge to the curved canopy.

This results in a more aerodynamic and efficient airflow and less turbulence.

Duralite Seam Protection:

Lightweight reinforcement to protect from chafing and abrasion along the struts to the leading edge.

Thin foam padding is inserted underneath to form a lightweight durable buffer which lifts the kite slightly off rough surfaces, and protect the stitching along the struts and leading edge seams.

Steering Impulse Option:

Bar pressure / steering impulse wing tip tuning options let you fine tune the kite to your personal preference.

Low Drag Bridle:

Spliced, pre-stretched bridle lines with less parasitic drag for greater aerodynamic performance.

A new manufacturing method to pre-load and measure the bridle lines before cutting improves accuracy and consistency.

This combined with quality materials, results in reduced shrinkage, reduced elongation and improved longevity.

Hyperflow Inflation System:

High volume single point inflation system with larger diameter hose for rapid inflation and deflation.

Bayonet style main inflation valve compatible with most pumps.

No adapter needed.

No-Pulley Bridles:

Simplified. Less breakage. Removing the plastic pulleys from within the load-bearing part of the kite improves safety and your connection to the kite.

The result is lower drag, more accuracy and a more direct feeling as the kite powers more evenly through the turn.

Kevlar Reinforced Strut System:

For the most accurate and durable connection between the strut and the leading edge.

Reinforced Dacron Exo-Skeleton Structure:

A durable frame around the perimeter of the kite made from stretch-resistant Techno Force 160gsm Dacron material.

It adds durability, strength and elongation control, protecting the lighter inner main canopy body and making the kite more responsive in the steering and depower.

The result is a durable kite that can hold its profile for increased performance and lift, but is also dynamic, flexible and can twist to turn.

Teijin Techno Force:

D2 Ripstop Fabric by Teijin. Premium high-density canopy material made in Japan, using high tenacity polyester yarn for lightness, high tearing strength and endurance.

Teijin Techno Force has the highest strength to weight ratio and longest durability in the industry.

Single Action Reload:

Connect Quick Release with intuitive single action reload raises the bar in kite control system safety. The red Quick Release handle has been ergonomically designed to fit in your hand comfortably for an industry standard push away release.

Toolless Interloop:

Push, twist, pull, lock and go. Our Toolless InterLoop makes the customer experience effortless when swapping between disciplines.

Tactile Offset Finger Bar:

For an ergonomic grip and intuitve feel when the control bar is orientated correctly.

Low Friction Co-Efficient Materials:

All loaded or running surfaces feature highly polished 316 stainless steel and low-friction components to enable fast, safe releases in a wide range of conditions.

Integrated Retractable Line Winder Bungee:

Prevents tangled lines when packed up. Bungee retracts out of the way when not in use.

Leader Line PU Tubing Covers:

To help prevent line abrasion from uncovered lines against your skin, while colour-coded PU tubing covers where the leaders come out of the float help them remain rigid and out of the way when the flying lines aren't under tension.

Kook-Proof Line Connectors:
