In light wind kiting, you want to have the smallest possible kite in the least amount of wind. To keep the kite flying, the less weight it has, the easier it is to fly. We wanted to see what was possible, how light you could go without losing performance or making it too fragile. Engineered using the lightest materials possible, weβve taken a minimalist approach β thereβs nothing on it you donβt need. This helps contribute to the Code Zeroβs playful, agile feel and fun, dynamic steering..
Duralite Reinforcements:
The only added reinforcements are the Duralite seam protectors on the wingtip and the center strut, providing abrasion resistance only where you need it.
Canopy Trailing Edge Reinforcements:
A double layer of canopy material at the trailing edge provides optimal tension in the canopy shape, keeping it as smooth as possible and helping the kite to fly faster through the sky.
Lighter N-Dure Dacron:
N-Dure lighter weight dacron in the leading edge and strut. This ensures the airframe meets the structural demands without adding unnecessary weight.
Light Weight Bladders:
Lighter weight bladder material to match the refined lighter construction method. These ingredients combine for a super lightweight kite with the fastest response and turning speeds possible.
N-HTRS High Performance Canopy Material:
The Code Zero kites are constructed using high tenacity polyester yarn ripstop canopy for lightness, high tear strength, zero porosity and longevity.
Hyper-Flow Rapid Single-Point Inflation:
Ergonomic high volume single point inflation system with large diameter hose for rapid inflation and deflation. The cap and valve base geometry are optimised for more comfortable opening and closing in colder conditions (when your fingers are freezing). The bayonet style main inflation valve is compatible with most pumps - no adapter required.
Easy Relaunch and Reverse Launch:
Curved leading edge profile means less surface area touching the water surface, for fast, headache-free launching.
Compact Travel-Friendly Size:
The lightweight Code Zero packs down into a high-quality GoGreen Recycled PET kite bag with Foil Assist. The recycled polyester ripstop fabric meets the Global Recycling Standard. The Kite Bag features a comfortable STPU padded area with groove designed especially for carrying a foil mast over your shoulder. It also features mesh windows for ventilation, zipper pockets for spare parts and storage, a Control System pocket and kite pump holder.
With responsive power delivery in light, shifty conditions, the Code Zero is highly efficient, with super direct steering impulse. The Code Zero has a wide wind range and impressive power for a one-strut kite. With a 3, 5 and 7m you can cover the whole wind range, from 10 to 30 knots. It depends on the size, but it performs best in its low-end range, and will carry you through the lulls and gusts. When youβre riding with more wind, the smaller sizes will open the world of foil freestyle. The kite is lighter and faster through the window, making it fun for performing tricks.
