The Duotone Evo SLS is the go-to choice for riders pursuing a high-performance, versatile kite, delivering exceptional handling, regardless of your preferred riding style. Whether you're chasing big air, indulging in freeride sessions, mastering hooked freestyle tricks, or even riding the waves, the new Evo SLS makes kitesurfing easier and more fun, regardless of your level!

From boosting big airs in strong winds to freeriding with your friends, slaying a few waves and popping some hooked freestyle tricks, the Evo SLS can do it all with a level of performance that will excite you at every turn. The dynamic and responsive handling is perfect for controlled and confidence-inspiring kite loops, no matter your level. It also allows you to get bigger air and longer hang time with less effort and input from yourself.

It’s as if the kite had a cheat mode for kiters, making everything easier while adding a few metres to your Woo scores. You'll experience increased pop, smoother take-offs, and extended hang time. The Evo SLS boasts exceptionally dynamic handling, aided by the innovative Flex Struts, allowing for faster turns. The absence of pulleys in the bridle system means reduced maintenance and enhanced control, especially when executing kite loops.

Coupled with the fantastic build quality, you are assured of a durable kite that can handle a wide range of conditions. The Flex Struts allow the kite to really open up and twist when you engage the steering at the bar, resulting in a very dynamic handling experience. This improved handling experience allows you to quickly redirect the kite and get tension in the lines for huge hooked airs while giving you total control at all times. The lighter nature of the kite also means you can even get good drift in the waves. Couple this with the responsive nature and you have a kite that even works for both onshore and offshore wave riding conditions.

Finally, freestyling on the Evo SLS you will unlock the potential to pull some of the best tricks you've ever landed. Offering just the right amount of pop and release, you'll be flying through the air hooked or unhooked and be sure of the envy of your friends. The relaunch is effortless, so if you do crash, you won't be wasting precious session time in the water, maximizing every opportunity to improve your riding. There are a lot of kites out there that claim to be truly versatile, but only the Evo SLS offers versatility with an unmatched performance level. Don't let your gear define the way you ride; take the Evo SLS to the beach, make the most of whatever the conditions throw at you and ride the way you want.

No matter what you decide to do with the Evo SLS, you’ll be blown away by the performance, it’s changing the way Duotone think about kiteboarding.

It allows you to get on the water earlier, stay out for longer and have control at your fingertips that other kites can only dream of. Maximise your ride, go all out with the new Evo SLS and connect with your kite in a way you could have only imagined before.

Evo 4 / 5 Line Control:

The Duotone Evo can be ridden on 4 or 5 line control bars, uniting new-school and free-ride in one kite. The Evo‘s delta shape offers great sheet and-go riding, excellent wind range and high de-power.

The overall shape helps the Evo turn quickly and predictably while the new bridle geometry stabilizes the arc for a soft, consistent bar feel and extreme back-stall resistance.

The 4-line mode boasts an innovative new safety system and bar-feel prefect for those who prefer soft, easy handling.

In 5-line mode the EVO additionally stabilizes the arc, providing a very direct bar-feel for new-school riding and the ultimate 5th line safety.

Auto re-launch means that you can go for it and never have to worry about re-launching your kite. Just take your hands off the bar and let the kite do the work for you!

Technology
Penta-TX:

Penta TX, the guarantee for a sportier, more precise and crisper feel of the kite, achieved by 15% less overall weight and a five times higher tear resistance. Penta TX replaces Dacron and is showing 50% less elongation compared to standard Dacron.

Penta TX is a quite stiff material, resulting in a high structural stiffness, especially recognizable in strong wind conditions, leading to less deformation of the overall structure of the kite.

It's responsible for a very precise timing when edging, releasing the edge and all steering impulses - the precise and reliable steering of a racing car. Penta TX is used in the leading edge and the centre strut.

Modern Trailing Edge Design:

A narrower trailing edge with a lighter combination of materials to reduce wear and to create a slicker kite profile.

Trailing Edge Force Control:

The Trailing Edge Force Control is responsible for the smooth power distribution between the different materials of the kite, forcing the tensions in the right directions.

Since 2013 the waves are higher and wider to eliminate stress points between the Dacron Trailing Edge and the Trinity TX Canopy material.

This change in construction reduces fluttering marks and ensures that the material is not wearing out.

Kook Proof Connectors:

The kook proof line connection points prevent accidents by guaranteeing that you cannot accidentally connect your lines incorrectly when rigging your kite.

Double-V Pigtails:

These pigtails distribute the load of the line connections to the kite, minimizing the risk of fatigue, making the kite less prone to distortion and helps it to steer more smoothly.

Load Distribution Panels:

As kite geometry improves, the canopy must continue to resist increasing forces. To spread these forces, Load-Distribution-Panels are used, holding the kite’s shape even under the most extreme loads.

In practice this gives a smoother and more consistent performance from the kite in any riding situation.

Anti-Snag:

The Anti Snag webbing is preventing the lines from tangling around the tip of the kite.

Waterstarts are made easier and safety is increased.

Self-Rescue Handles:

The self-rescue handles on the inside of the wingtips can be easily found in case of an offshore break down.

They provide a good, comfortable grip while sailing back to the shore during a self-rescue manoeuvre.

Fusion Strut:

This construction allows for a controlled distribution of forces between strut and leading edge.

Struts are 100% connected to the leading edge with a flexible Dyneema line, which promotes higher canopy tension and a clean profile.

Heavy Duty Leading Edge Closing Seam:

The leading edges of all kites are extremely durable due to a special heavy duty closing seam.

The Dacron material at the leading edge is reinforced with a self sticky Insignia Tape and double stitched additionally.

The Heavy Duty Leading Edge Closing Seam is resistant to very high tensions and diagonal forces.

Control Bar
Duotone Trust Control Bar System

Riders of all levels, from pros to newcomers, will all gain substantial advantages from the new Duotone Trust Bar system.

Safety - perform all moves with safety leash
Water Start - without swimming
Performance - increased performance due to wider wind range

All kites can be flown with the same bar, just the short line attached in the middle of the leading edge has to be adjusted to the different kite sizes. Instructions will be attached to all bars or upgrades.

Line Length Advisor:

Different styles of riding, different kite models or the kite size can be influencing factors that require different line length.

In order to further increase this synergy effect the 19 and 22 m lines come now on a medium bar (49 / 42 cm) and the 24 and 27m lines on a large bar (53 / 46 cm).

The bar is the riders’ first point of contact with the kite. In order to achieve a maximum in comfort of riding it is essential to match the kite and the riders’ style of riding to the correct line length.

19m (70% Handling / 30% Power)

Super fast and reactive tuning speeds, shorter lines are best for extreme freestyle and crazy kiteloops. They are also excellent for wave riding, where kite turning speed is important. Wakestyle riders like the close connection to the kite too. The disadvantage is you lose some of the low end power.

Fast and reactive turning
Extreme Freestyle, Wakestyle and Waves
Tight, super fast and hard kite loops

22m (60% Handling / 40% Power)

The favourite length for freestyle and waves! These 22m lines are still great for getting lots of speed from the kite, perfect for wave riding and freestyle. Not as extreme as the 19m lines, they still lose a bit of low end power.

Reactive turning
Fast Kite Loops
Great setup for freestyle riders
Best choice for waveriding

24m (50% Handling / 50% Power)

The best choice for an all round length, good turning speed combined with good power make 24m the perfect choice for a lot of riders. Great for freeride, waves and freestyle.

Most Versatile Length
Great for all-round freeriding
Good low end and a good turning speed
Most Versatile Length
High jumps as you can “load” the lines
The recommended size for a one bar quiver

27m (40% Handling / 60% Power)

The extra length means extra power, get a little more range out of your quiver by adding this bar with the longer lines. They are also great for jumping as you can really “load” the lines when you edge and send the kite back through the window.

Enormous Low End Power
Huge Jumps
Lots of Lift

The bar is your first point of contact with the kite, It is the connection between you and your kite and it is important to get it right. And it’s actually an easy formula: The shorter the lines, the more direct and faster the kite turns. The longer the lines, the more power you can generate out of them! Choose a Duotone Trust Bar, and choose the right line set up for your style of riding.
