Description

The Duotone Evo SLS 2026, the ultimate performance allrounder designed for progressive riders who seek versatility across freeride, freestyle, and even wave riding. Built with advanced Penta TX and Trinity TX materials, the Evo SLS delivers explosive lift, dynamic jumping, and outstanding hangtime, making it the go-to kite for technical tricks and high-performance sessions.

Engineered for maximum control across all conditions, the Evo SLS empowers riders to push their limits with confidence. Its SLS (strong, light, superior) construction enhances agility, ensuring that every manoeuvre feels responsive and effortless. One of the standout features of the Evo SLS is its faster turning capability, which results in a more playful feel on the water. The refined tip construction features more aggressive tapering and an additional leading edge segment, significantly increasing steering speed and responsiveness. This allows for quick adjustments to your direction, whether you’re carving through waves or preparing for a freestyle trick.

The Evo SLS offers improved bar feedback and handling, thanks to changes made to the canopy attachment at the tip. This results in a cleaner and more balanced bar feel, establishing a better connection between rider and kite, crucial for effective control during dynamic conditions. With enhanced steering responsiveness, the Evo SLS provides more intuitive handling. The better transfer of steering forces into the canopy allows for a more direct and predictable reaction to bar input, giving riders the confidence to execute complex maneuvers.

Moreover, reduced tip flutter during loops and tight turns is achieved through structural improvements in the tip area. This minimizes flutter during aggressive maneuvers, enhancing control and precision to ensure that your transitions are seamless and your movements are sharp. The kite's performance is further optimized with better loop and catch capabilities. With increased turning speed and stability, kiteloops are quicker, and the kite catches more reliably after a rotation, enabling you to focus on nailing your tricks without hesitation.

Experience the freedom and versatility of the Duotone Evo SLS 2026, the performance “can do it all” kite that adapts to your style and challenges you to reach new heights, whether you’re cruising the waves or launching into the air.

Features
Technology
Penta-TX:

Penta TX, the guarantee for a sportier, more precise and crisper feel of the kite, achieved by 15% less overall weight and a five times higher tear resistance. Penta TX replaces Dacron and is showing 50% less elongation compared to standard Dacron.

Penta TX is a quite stiff material, resulting in a high structural stiffness, especially recognizable in strong wind conditions, leading to less deformation of the overall structure of the kite.

It's responsible for a very precise timing when edging, releasing the edge and all steering impulses - the precise and reliable steering of a racing car. Penta TX is used in the leading edge and the centre strut.

Modern Trailing Edge Design:

A narrower trailing edge with a lighter combination of materials to reduce wear and to create a slicker kite profile.

Trailing Edge Force Control:

The Trailing Edge Force Control is responsible for the smooth power distribution between the different materials of the kite, forcing the tensions in the right directions.

Since 2013 the waves are higher and wider to eliminate stress points between the Dacron Trailing Edge and the Trinity TX Canopy material.

This change in construction reduces fluttering marks and ensures that the material is not wearing out.

Kook Proof Connectors:

The kook proof line connection points prevent accidents by guaranteeing that you cannot accidentally connect your lines incorrectly when rigging your kite.

Double-V Pigtails:

These pigtails distribute the load of the line connections to the kite, minimizing the risk of fatigue, making the kite less prone to distortion and helps it to steer more smoothly.

Load Distribution Panels:

As kite geometry improves, the canopy must continue to resist increasing forces. To spread these forces, Load-Distribution-Panels are used, holding the kite’s shape even under the most extreme loads.

In practice this gives a smoother and more consistent performance from the kite in any riding situation.

Anti-Snag:

The Anti Snag webbing is preventing the lines from tangling around the tip of the kite.

Waterstarts are made easier and safety is increased.

Self-Rescue Handles:

The self-rescue handles on the inside of the wingtips can be easily found in case of an offshore break down.

They provide a good, comfortable grip while sailing back to the shore during a self-rescue manoeuvre.

Fusion Strut:

This construction allows for a controlled distribution of forces between strut and leading edge.

Struts are 100% connected to the leading edge with a flexible Dyneema line, which promotes higher canopy tension and a clean profile.

Heavy Duty Leading Edge Closing Seam:

The leading edges of all kites are extremely durable due to a special heavy duty closing seam.

The Dacron material at the leading edge is reinforced with a self sticky Insignia Tape and double stitched additionally.

The Heavy Duty Leading Edge Closing Seam is resistant to very high tensions and diagonal forces.

Control Bar
Duotone Trust Control Bar System:

Riders of all levels, from pros to newcomers, will all gain substantial advantages from the new Duotone Trust Bar system.

Safety - perform all moves with safety leash
Water Start - without swimming
Performance - increased performance due to wider wind range

All kites can be flown with the same bar, just the short line attached in the middle of the leading edge has to be adjusted to the different kite sizes. Instructions will be attached to all bars or upgrades.

Line Length Advisor:

Different styles of riding, different kite models or the kite size can be influencing factors that require different line length.

In order to further increase this synergy effect the 19 and 22 m lines come now on a medium bar (49 / 42 cm) and the 24 and 27m lines on a large bar (53 / 46 cm).

The bar is the riders’ first point of contact with the kite. In order to achieve a maximum in comfort of riding it is essential to match the kite and the riders’ style of riding to the correct line length.

19m (70% Handling / 30% Power)

Super fast and reactive tuning speeds, shorter lines are best for extreme freestyle and crazy kiteloops. They are also excellent for wave riding, where kite turning speed is important. Wakestyle riders like the close connection to the kite too. The disadvantage is you lose some of the low end power.

Fast and reactive turning
Extreme Freestyle, Wakestyle and Waves
Tight, super fast and hard kite loops

22m (60% Handling / 40% Power)

The favourite length for freestyle and waves! These 22m lines are still great for getting lots of speed from the kite, perfect for wave riding and freestyle. Not as extreme as the 19m lines, they still lose a bit of low end power.

Reactive turning
Fast Kite Loops
Great setup for freestyle riders
Best choice for waveriding

24m (50% Handling / 50% Power)

The best choice for an all round length, good turning speed combined with good power make 24m the perfect choice for a lot of riders. Great for freeride, waves and freestyle.

Most Versatile Length
Great for all-round freeriding
Good low end and a good turning speed
Most Versatile Length
High jumps as you can “load” the lines
The recommended size for a one bar quiver

27m (40% Handling / 60% Power)

The extra length means extra power, get a little more range out of your quiver by adding this bar with the longer lines. They are also great for jumping as you can really “load” the lines when you edge and send the kite back through the window.

Enormous Low End Power
Huge Jumps
Lots of Lift

The bar is your first point of contact with the kite, It is the connection between you and your kite and it is important to get it right. And it’s actually an easy formula: The shorter the lines, the more direct and faster the kite turns. The longer the lines, the more power you can generate out of them! Choose a Duotone Trust Bar, and choose the right line set up for your style of riding.
