Description

The Ozone AMP V2 is a progressive yet user-friendly freestyle and wakestyle kite offering as much control and feedback needed to take your riding to the next level.

Whether you’re learning your first un-hooked raley, boosting kite loops, or styling out advanced park and freestyle manoeuvres, the Ozone AMP will keep you in control with the highest level of feedback, predictable turning speed and a similar feeling precisely tuned across all sizes. It is ultra smooth to fly and provides inspirational confidence to go for it!

The AMP V2 features a new rip-stop material combination with advanced ultra flex coating improving feedback in gustier conditions making for a smoother ride. The new technical rip-stop dacron is super tough, used on the Leading Edge and Struts it improves strength, durability and longevity.

An all new Fast Flow One-Pump Inflation System makes set up and packing quick and easy. It features single point inflation/deflation and a high air flow rate between the Struts and Leading Edge, with clips to seal the hoses to prevent unwanted air flow in case of damage.

The AMP features three unique and easily interchangeable performance settings to compliment your skill set and riding needs:

4-Line Mode:

The AMP incorporates a specifically developed planform and arc combined with our classic 4-Line pulley-less bridle setup. This delivers a superior C-kite with feel, handling and de-power.

The 4-Line Bridle mode features a Variable Bridle Geometry which is quick and easy to change with no lines to add or remove. These two settings boast advanced unhooked attributes and easy to reach C-kite performance.

Freeride / Freestyle:

A refined feeling suited to general freeriding/freestyle and for those riders who enjoyed the feeling of the C4 V6. Use this setting for freeride boosting and kite loops. Setting 1 is the upper knot on the Variable Bridle Geometry Pigtails.

Unhooked Freestyle / Wakestyle:

A new feeling developed with the progressive AMP design. The kite sits a little further back in the wind window and is tuned to excel unhooked. Increased bar pressure improves feeling from the kite. Setting 2 is the lower knot on the Variable Bridle Geometry Pigtails.

5-Line Mode:

In 5-Line mode the AMP changes in overall performance. The kite is supported in a tighter C-shape arc, with a more precise and direct feel on the bar, increased power during load up for pop, and increased slack when in the air. This slack also increases steering delay, offering more time for grabs and handle passes.

Re-launching in 5-Line mode is simple - either pull on one back line as in 4-Line mode, or in lighter winds reach up and pull Line no.5 to turn the kite over before re-launching.

Back Line Adjustments:

Backline adjustments allow you to further tune the AMP to your personal preference. The attachment closest to the trailing edge provides lighter bar pressure and a faster turn speed. The attachment closest to the leading edge provides heavier bar pressure and a slower turn speed.

Teijin Technoforce D2 and Teijin Dacron:

Teijin is the world’s leading supplier of polyester fabrics and sail materials for marine sports. We use the remarkably durable Teijin D2 canopy material in all our water kites and wings. Teijin D2 is the benchmark in quality with proven superiority in durability and dynamics.

We use the incredibly strong and reliable Teijin Dacron in all our water kites and wings. Dacron is used on parts requiring rigidity and stability – the Leading Edge, Struts, Wingtips, and all loaded areas with extra reinforcement for enhanced load distribution and durability.

One-Pump Inflation System:

The One Pump inflation system enables quick and easy setup with single point inflation of the kite.

All Struts are connected to the Leading Edge via inflation points – air will flow through the hose to inflate the entire kite.

Clips seal the hose connecting the Struts and Leading Edge to prevent unwanted airflow in case of damage.

Tuned Bridle Geometry:

Ozone work extensively to develop the size range to feel in tune with each other.

Every kite has a unique bridle layout, individually tested and fine-tuned to maximize the feeling and performance.

Anti-Snag Line Deflectors:

The Anti-Snag line deflectors prevent bridles and lines from tangling around the wing tip.

Safety is increased when launching with a partner and water re-launch is made easier.

Unique Bladder Construction:

Ozone bladders are constructed in-house with advanced custom built welding machines.

Double layered sections are applied to any potential wear areas.

Internal Reinforcements:

Internal reinforcements for improved strength and durability; such as a Double layered Dacron + Insignia taped Leading Edge closing seam with high strength threads.

Low Profile Scuff Pads:

Leading Edge bumpers are often large and unnecessary cosmetic items. Ozone build their kites and wings for performance and durability using the best materials & components available.

Any areas requiring scuff protection we use a lightweight durable material with superior abrasion resistance, while keeping a low profile in order to reduce drag and maintain performance.

Reinforced Trailing Edge:

Double layer Teijin D2 Trailing Edge strip with an internal light weight Dyneema reinforcement – this reduces canopy wear and helps to maintain optimum Trailing Edge tension as designed.

The Dyneema line also reduces any potential stretch at the Trailing Edge.

World-Class Construction:

World-class construction in our own factory, using the highest quality materials and hand checked Quality Control at every step.

4-Line Pulleyless System:

NO pulleys, NO problems. Ozone design all our inflatable kites without pulleys, to inherit the unique Ozone feeling and performance across our range.

High Volume Deflate / Inflate Valve:

A high volume valve makes inflation and deflation quick and easy.

Pumping is a breeze thanks to the high airflow rate, while the internal seal engages to stop any air coming out under pressure.

Fool-Proof Line Connectors:

Fool proof line connectors prevent incorrect rigging of the flying lines to the kite.

Direct Connect Struts:

Direct Connect construction method improves load distribution between the Leading Edge, Struts and Canopy.

The Struts are connected directly to the Leading Edge with internal reinforcements and external webbing.

This unique construction method ensures clean profiles are maintained with the optimum canopy tension

Double Stitched Folded Seams:

Sail canopy seams are stitched, folded, and then stitched again for a clean and strong connection of the panels.

Load Distribution Panels:

Dacron reinforcements are used on all loaded areas for enhanced load distribution.

This means all loads are spread evenly into the sail ensuring the kite flies and performs at its best.

Reinforced Leading Edge and Struts:

The Leading Edge and Struts are reinforced in high stress areas to ensure the kite canopy remains in shape and performs at its best.

Control Bar

Ozone Wakestyle Control Bar:

The 23m lines suits unhooked riding on any size AMP, also in high winds with smaller sizes 10m and below. In lighter winds and on the larger sizes Ozone recommend attaching the 2m extensions for a 25m line length. The AMP Control System offers a clean control bar design, simple safety and an easy-to-use trimming system.

Push Away Quick Release:

The control system features a new Megatron pushaway quick release safety with total flag out of the kite. The release handle is ergonomic with positive release forces (under 8kg) allowing for quick and easy release. Simple re-assembly saves time and gets you back up and riding faster.

Two Safety Modes:

The Megatron offers riders a choice of two safety modes, the recommended standard safety or the optional Suicide safety.

The standard Flag out safety offers 100% flag out in all situations by releasing the Megatron or letting go of the bar when un-hooked.

The Suicide option offers 100% flag out only when the Megatron is released whilst hooked in, allowing riders practicing handle passes to let go of the bar with out flagging the kites safety (not recommended).

Anti-twist 100% Flag Out Line:

The flag out line running through the Megatron & safety leash attachment at the bottom keeps the leash tangle free when doing rotations and manually unwinding the centre lines using the Spinning Handle.

Soft Bar Ends with Hide-away Elastic Line Retainers:

Soft bar ends for comfort and are less likely to damage lightly constructed boards. Hide-away elastic line retainers keep wound lines secured.

Stainless Steel Leader Line Pin:

Superior strength is achieved with a Stainless pin running through the bar. This creates an ultra strong and direct connection between the control bar to flying lines.

Low Friction Centre Piece:

The control bar features a low friction aluminum centre piece designed to reduce trim line wear.

Auto Positioning Chicken Loop:

Designed in conjunction with the bar centre piece, the Megatron spinning handle allows chicken loop auto positioning, offering easy unhooked riding and hooking back in.
