Description

The Slingshot Misfit is a time-tested design perfect for general freeride kiters who want a twin tip they can use anywhere, in any condition. The Misfit features a mild rocker and a relatively stiff flex pattern, making it a board that cuts up wind and beats through chop exceptionally well.

The Slingshot Mistfit V11 is beginner friendly, freestyle friendly, upwind, downwind, flat water, chop and big-air friendly. With a flatter and faster rocker line combined with a nice, mellow single-concave hull, you get one of the smoothest and driest rides out of any twin tip on the market. Additionally, the Misfit’s tip and tail have Koroyd cutouts to reduce swingweight and a lively, pop-centric Atomic Wood Core.

This new outline reduces board drag as well as giving it a smoother release from the water. With a new tip and tail profile, riders will experience less spray in the face and more forgiving landings when learning new tricks. Still featuring a space age hybrid Koroyd and wood core, the new Misift is rewriting the formula of the progressive freeride twin tip. This board has been a Slingshot cult favorite, world renowned as one of the best all around twin tips in the world.

Inspired by the same strong and lightweight material trusted in the best bike helmets on the market, the new Misfit Air Core features large sections of Koroyd in the tip, tail and lengthwise underfoot. The result is a lighter, more responsive and more dynamic Misfit. The Misfit Air Core features mild rocker, a relatively stiff flex and a bottom profile that favour upwind drive, plow-through-chop performance and all-around freeride handling.

Slingshot Dually Pad System:

The Dually pad and strap system includes an advanced dual density ergonomic pad. The new footstrap offers dual zonal technology with 4x4 micro adjustability. Micro adjustment can be used to customize the fore and aft positioning at 4 different points.

The Dually also offers 4 vertical points of adjustment for a customized fit to the contour of your foot.

The possibilities for a custom fit are controlled exclusively by the rider for maximum comfort and control. In addition the Dually includes our new bolt-on baseplate.

It mounts easily to your board and offers limitless duck and stance options.

Continuous Rocker:

Smooth, consistent curve provides a fast ride, predictable pop, great carving performance and disperses water to soften landings.

Vertically laminated wood core:

Sustainably grown Paulownia gives the lively, springy character that Slingshot boards are famous for. Vertically laminated construction harnesses the collective strength of the wood’s grain and provides strength, durability and consistent flex over the life of the board.

Korroyd Tips:

Sections of thermally welded Co-Polymer Tubes provide a lighter, more responsive ride with more strength and flex than a full wood core.

Dura Light Base:

This 0.2mm base material is the ideal strength to weight ratio. Lightweight performance in a strong and durable package.

Naca Channels:

Precision laser cut parabolic channels direct water like a vacuum from the middle of the board through the tail. This directed water accelerates through the channel and increases the board speed and grip to the water. This provides the rider with better board speed and traction when riding.

Carbon Bedrock Inserts:

Light, flexible and durable inserts that maintain the board’s flex underfoot for a consistent feel from tip to tail.

Urethane Sidewalls:

Transferring the same technology found in high durometer urethane skateboard wheels into the rail of all our boards. Our innovative manufacturing process literally infuses the rail into the board cores in one single shot, producing unrivaled dampening and durability.

Construction:

Slingshot twin tips are hand crafted out of all wood cores. We use sustainably grown Paulownia, which gives the lively, springy character that Slingshot boards are famous for. The vertically laminated construction harnesses the collect strength of the wood’s grain and provides strength, durability and consistent flex over the life of the board.

As an added layer of protection, we finish every board with a full urethane rail to protect from inevitable mishaps and impacts with hard objects. We’ve added vibrant urethan colors give the visual pop distinct to Slingshot.
