X-Core Nucleus:
The DNA features a X-Core Nucleus construction. This multiaxial layup stiffens the belly but allows the tip and tail to flex, giving the rider a more predictable ride with ultimate performance. The edge of the X-Core nucleus can also act as a grab rail for easy in and out of the water for those attempting board-offs.
Single Concave Hull:
Provides smooth tracking and effortless upwind performance. This added grip provides traction for riding with speed and power, yet is easy to manage for all ability levels.
Single Shot Fusion Sidewall:
Single Shot Fusion Sidewall incorporates cork to enhance the board’s ability to absorb chop while kiting. This advanced sidewall design not only enhances the boards’ performance in rough conditions but also enhances durability.
Dura Light Base:
This 0.2mm base material is the ideal strength to weight ratio. Lightweight performance in a strong and durable package.
Construction:
Slingshot twin tips are hand crafted out of all wood cores. We use sustainably grown Paulownia, which gives the lively, springy character that Slingshot boards are famous for. The vertically laminated construction harnesses the collect strength of the wood’s grain and provides strength, durability and consistent flex over the life of the board.
As an added layer of protection, we finish every board with a full urethane rail to protect from inevitable mishaps and impacts with hard objects. Slingshot added vibrant urethan colours give the visual pop distinct to Slingshot.
