Description

CORE’s bestselling twintip - now features the remarkably efficient Cartan 2 carbon fibre weave. An innovative, holistic board that meets all the requirements of the aspiring rider. Its unique materials and technology, packed in a sophisticated shape with highly differentiated underwater hull, make it the ideal board for all types of riders, excelling in all disciplines.

The Fusion 6 builds upon the innovation of the legendary Carved Imperator, introducing for the first time the lighter, more powerful, and sustainable Cartan 2 Carbon. With its reduced layer thickness, this carbon lies flat on the wood core, resulting in lower resin usage and increased efficiency in terms of stiffness and strength. The formula is simple: higher fibre content in the laminate translates to less material, allowing for  higher and faster restoring forces, ultimately delivering superior performance.

Cartan 2 Carbon:

The new interface of the Fusion 6 looks extraordinary. However, its true uniqueness lies hidden inside. For the first time, the Fusion 6 uses a completely new carbon fiber fabric, meticulously  developed and tested over the years, which takes the performance of the proven carbon Cartan to  a new level. Due to its lower layer thickness, it lies flat on the core, like a sheet of paper. Optimized flow paths contribute to its reduced resin requirement resulting in more efficiency in terms of stiffness and strength. The formula is simple: higher fiber content per resin content.

Greener Performance:

The Fusion 6 is built with GreenPoxy 33 - a groundbreaking epoxy resin with 35% of its molecular structure derived from plants. It is the result of the latest innovations in bio-based chemistry demonstrating a significant technological advance in the following aspects: Clarity, color and performance for a resin with a lower carbon content from kerosene origin. Years of testing across various CORE board prototypes confirm their superior quality and performance, inspiring us to embark on a pricier yet greener path.

Core Fusion Lightwind Edition

Since a greater planing surface displaces more water together with the lower speeds achieved in lighter winds; the bottom concave, channel and ‘V’ were reduced by a millimetre. This modification minimizes the water resistance whilst still guaranteeing, together with the combination of outline and bottom contour, adequate grip to deal with gusts.

The 154 x 46cm wide Fusion combines the advantages of a light wind board with those of a thoroughbred twintip. Even if the wind picks up, rotations, and also unhooked tricks are effortlessly achieved. The 154 has a parabolic outline with a minimized radius in the middle of the board and has been optimized to combine high angling and upwind performance with good freestyle suitability. It's perfect for anyone who needs a confidence boost and heavier riders who enjoy unhooking in light winds. Its Multi-Channels, Vario rails, and modified keel will give freestylers the edge control and response every time you pull on your backhand.

With 159 x 47cm board, the largest in the Fusion line, the CORE development team opted for a concave outline. With its concave LW outline, the 159 Fusion 6 LW sports a performance window that touches 7 knots. The concave outline, increased flex, and square box rails improve upwind tacks by forcing the board to ride deeper and flatter in the water. Wider tips promote early planing and keep you going through lulls. The 159 delivers extreme angling performance, runs confidently at altitude even when hardly any wind can be felt and also offers a good portion of riding pleasure.

Features
Core Fusion Carbon Kitesurf Kiteboarding BoardCore Union Pro Pads:

The orthotic EVA footpads with its “toe grabber” 3D surface will hold your feet securely even on those off balance landings.

With a base plate that can accommodate nine different stances and three pad insert options Core are sure you will find the perfect setup for your riding style. Similar customization options are found with the new CORE Union Pro straps to give you the perfect fit even with booties on!

The dual strap design features effortless pitch, longitudinal and height adjustments to support your foot perfectly. Core have lined the strap interior with padded neoprene while protecting the exterior with durable synthetic leather.

Core EQ Fin Set:

Developed, tested and refined over three years. The completely redesigned CORE EQ fin not only looks exceptional, it performs exceptionally. With a wide fin base resembling a beluga forehead, it effectively prevents water from being sucked in.

Unlike standard fins, the grip level of EQ fins remains consistent as speed increases, offering a distinct advantage. This feature noticeably facilitates easier release even at full speed, allowing for smoother switching. Additionally, the rounded transition between the fin and board minimizes drag, which occurs when two surfaces meet.

The EQ fin is also designed to be lightweight, weighing approximately 30 percent less than the Equalizer fin, thanks to its hollow interior. The rough surface is not just an unclean finish, but the technical icing on the cake: in turbulent currents, the precisely defined roughness minimizes suction and increases manoeuverability.

Technology
Unibody Edge:

High-end racing ski sidewall technology finds its way to twin tips. An industry first and more expensive foil, the carbon and thermoset resin process massively improves the connection between the top and bottom Cartan carbon for a true unibody build. We replaced the previous internal ABS edge strip that joins the top and bottom carbon sheets with a new 80 layer, laminated, resin-activated strip that is harder, stiffer and better bonding. The new edge improves torsional rigidity and also stores and releases more energy than before.

Paulownia Light:

The power of lightness with marine-grade laminated wood core. All wood has natural variation in density and volumetric weight. We now select the lowest weight laminations before gluing them together. In doing so, the specially selected, long-grained Paulownia wood is 250g lighter and just as strong as the last generation. It gives our boards dimensional stability, decay resistance and a lightweight yet distinctively powerful character. The Paulownia extends towards the board's edges and is CNC milled both top and bottom.

Multi Channels:

A massive double concave center channel and a smaller outer channel follow the length of the board, providing extra depth for the V-Keel and incredible grip. In addition to the center channel, we added Quattro tip channels. Freestylers can load their edges more than ever, while freeriders will enjoy how well the Fusion 6 tracks upwind.

Katana Channels:

The perfect combo between tip flex and stiffness. You’ll notice that we continue the same contours of the bottom tip channel into the top deck, which now resembles a Katana sword. The new contours add tip stiffness to better store and release the energy you generate when loading the edge.

V-Shaped Keel:

Inspired by the legendary handling of deep V powerboats in rough waters, we added a deep V-shaped keel along the entire length of the board to penetrate chop and smooth your ride. Who doesn't like pillow-soft landings?

Beveled Deck:

The Fusion 6 features a 6-degree beveled deck edge from tip-to-tip that blends into the Katana channels. The bevel decreases longitudinal flex for more pop, reduced reverse flex and more powerful edging.

Vee Rocker:

The restoring forces of Cartan 2 are significantly higher compared to Cartan 1. As a result, the cavity and rocker of the Fusion 6 were completely rebuilt and optimized when compared to the Fusion 5!

The concept of the V-Rocker has been retained: the bend is most pronounced in the center of the board and decreases towards the tips. Due to the large bend in the middle, the board is fast and protrudes far enough out of the water at the front. The rocker is ideally suited for a balanced stance and for all conditions.

Tucked Under Rails:

The board features a tucked under bottom rail between the straps that transitions to a box edge near the outer inserts. The rail thins out to a sharper edge at the tips. The tucked under rail softens the ride and improves water flow, whereas the sharper tip edges add more bite.
