AP Control Bar

Description

The Airush Razor V10 keeps the dedicated C-Kite feel and performance that wakestyle and freestyle riders demand. Working closely with World Champion Alex Pastor, Airush focused relentlessly on fine-tuning the performance characteristics of the Razor. While focusing on mind blowing pop, unhooked ability and kite looping, the Razor also features an incredible wind range and ease of use, way beyond the expectations of a purist freestyle kite.

The Airush Load Frame has enabled Airush to further increase the strength of the Razor, without an increase in weight. WebTech expands the exclusive Airush Load Frame throughout the high load areas, such as the wingtips, by utilizing the web fibers to absorb high loads, further increasing the durability and response rate of the kite.

Even while specifically focusing on mind blowing pop, unhooked ability and kite looping, the Razor also features an incredible wind range and ease of use, way beyond the expectations of a purist freestyle kite.

The 5th line is set with slightly more tension for added structural rigidity and responsiveness. A new 6m replaces the 5.5m creating a more stable platform with better gust response, and makes the 6m as easy to handle in high wind as the 5.5m. An improvement in parked power for better bottom end results in a much more versatile kite, with a broader wind range.

The Airush Razor still uses a fast and simple One Pump System for inflation and it is easy to set up with the five line configuration, using the fifth line as a dedicated safety line.

Even as a powerful C-kite, the Razor has good depower and relaunch abilities. It is easy to operate and runs great in a wide range of wind conditions.

AIRUSH AP TEAM CONTROL BAR:

Working closely with the Airush team, the diameter of the control bar has been reduced further to enable the rider to maintain a solid grip through the most power moves and landings.

Additional features include heavy-duty flying lines, larger chicken loop and a shorter throw with a functional strap system and custom size adjustment.

The AP Team Control Bar also features a new durable buckle on the depower strap for worry free riding and a PU covered depower line for smooth sheeting and never having to replace your depower rope, the AP Bar provide a long-lasting and durable control system in a plug-and-play package.

The AP Team bar features customized line lengths. Airush recommends you use the full standard lengths on the 15 and 13m kites to maximize the lightwind performance. For the 10, 9, 8, 7m Airush recommend to drop it down to the 21m line length.

Regardless of your style of riding, the adjustable length AP bar eliminates the need for multiple bars and offers, tunability and safety in a simple and smart package.

Airush Load Frame:

The Airush Load Frame featuring WebTech has been the key to setting the ultimate benchmark in durability, without compromising on weight.

By expanding our exclusive Load Frame with WebTech throughout the areas normally occupied by Dacron, we are able to minimize or completely remove the heavier fabric and utilize the Ballistic high-modulus polyethylene web fibers instead – increasing strength and minimizing weight.

Turning Speed:

The rear lines on the Razor affect turning speed of the kite. By moving the rear lines towards the leading edge, the Razor becomes static and stable, perfect for wakestyle moves.

Moving the rear lines towards the trailing edge allows the razor to move extremely quick, perfect for boosting and kitelooping. The number of attachments vary based on Razor specific size.

High Modulus Yarns:

Central to the concept of the Load Frame are the lightweight Ultra High Modulus yarns, of which each single yarn can carry 40kg. Think of them as a lightweight web with engineered energy absorption under load, similar to a spider web.

These yarns are integrated into the canopy through reinforced taping that allows them to elongate when under extreme load, absorbing most of the shock that traditionally would have run through the canopy. At the same time, they carry the primary load of the canopy, preventing stretch and increasing long-term performance.

Technoforce D2:

This premium fabric is designed with a high-density structure using high tenacity double-coated polyester yarn in a double ripstop configuration. The double coating protects the yarn as much as possible from UV and abrasion damage. This ensures that the canopy remains as crisp and responsive for as long as possible.

This exceptional material is used in conjunction with the Airush Load Frame, resulting in the ultimate combination of durability and performance.

XL Inflate / Deflate Valve:

The XL inflate/deflate valve features an insanely easy and fast way to inflate and deflate your kite.

The large opening creates maximum flow of air and reduces fatigue and stress on your pump.

This in conjunction with the Airush high-velocity pump makes inflating your kite extremely fast to get you on the water as quickly as possible.

Airush Bumpers:

Airush bumpers are found throughout the leading edge of the kites to reduce wear and increase durability on rough surfaces.

These bumpers are key for increasing the lifespan of Airush kites.

Kevlar Reinforcement:

Kevlar, found in bulletproof vests, is found throughout the Airush kites.

These Kevlar reinforcements are only put in the most critical areas to protect from wear and tear while still minimizing weight that affects the kites performance.

SPS and FBI:

The oversized SPS valve (Single Point Inflation System) optimizes inflation and deflation.

The Fast Bladder Inflation (FBI) features increased wall thickness and oversized diameter tubing, thus eliminating tube kink, reducing stress on your pump, and enabling quick and easy inflation.

The SPS cover supports the tubing, further limiting UV damage to the material and preventing over flexing when packing.

5th Line:

The 5th line featured on the Razor is the only method of support to maximize the performance of a dedicated C-kite. The support from the 5th line allows for a finer leading edge, giving the Razor the ultimate combination of speed, pop and slack for unhooked tricks.
