The new F-One Bandit XV (2022) is incredibly stable in the air, no matter what the wind is doing. Its fantastic control allows you to perform to a high level in all areas. The kite translates gusts into forward pull. The kite loop is quicker this year with an even tighter turning radius, allowing you to dial in as much or as little intensity as you might want. You get a total support from your kite, therefore the landings are softer as you get that extra lift before you land.

The impressive instant steering response offers precision flying with the best balance between ease of input and feedback impulses from the kite. This results into a very linear feel with zero stalling. The F-One Bandit XV offers improved hang time, pure jump height and vertical boost. It requires fewer skills and efforts to load the kite before sending it.

The F-One Bandit 2022 is extremely pleasing to fly whilst having a sporty feeling. Its behaviour is direct and reactive as well as stable, smooth and homogenous.
Its power is totally controllable and the kite is not physical to handle. Whether you want to park it and ride freely for hours or send it throwing some big kiteloops, the BANDIT will deliver.

Going upwind has never been so comfortable. This year again F-One have also worked on reducing the drag, and creating positive forward momentum allowing you to stay even longer on the water.

The Bandit 2022 is very light to fly yet has a feedback incredibly direct. The kite consistently reacts to your demand, and you always know where it sits in the window. The turning of the Bandit is quick and precise and remains totally controllable when depowered.

The jumping potential of this year’s model is absolutely insane. Offering explosive vertical lift the kite has plenty of float to chuck in some boards off or old school moves. Loops are fast and you will always find the line tension and pull you’re looking for. Just pull on the bar and the Bandit 2022 will generate power, fantastic kiteloops sensations and super smooth landings with no stalling.

The kite’s conception is exceptionally technical and the result whilst riding is impressive. We have reached new levels of stability making riding comfortable and safe no matter the conditions. We managed to get a way more homogenous experience from low to high wind range with each size of the range. It crosses over to disciplines like foiling and even wave riding super well.

After spending countless hours testing and developing prototypes, we are proud to release the new and improved 2022 BANDIT. Whether you are looking to send it, freeride for hours, or explore the waves, this kite will exceed all expectations.

How can the Bandit perform so well in all disciplines?

The F-One Bandit is a kite with lots of power, excellent top-end control, smooth power delivery, great hangtime with plenty of support when flying; it offers fast turning capabilities, auto relaunching, superb upwind drive and control at high speed, coupled with exceptional bar feeling and perfect feed back.

Making a kite that can handle like this is a tricky challenge, especially with disciplines like strapless freestyle demanding very different handling from freestyle riding. However this is a big part of the secret of the Bandit, it’s not just about the amount of power you can create when you need to, it is also about how the kite delivers it and how you can control it.

The best selling kite on the market:

Each year around 80 prototypes are designed, built and tested in order to achieve the perfect kite. Testing in all conditions and disciplines, from twin tips, surfboards and hydrofoils.

Back Line Turning:

SHEETED IN The back line is released and the forces go through the front connector. The bar pressure increases and the maneuvrability is less direct. It offers a very progressive bar with a feeling of a sheeted out back connector while we sheet in, therefore the pressure increases progressively.

SHEETED OUT The kite tilts and the back line stiffens. The tensions move to the trailing edge which has several effects: - less flapping - better start - maneuvrability with less pressure.

Flat Sewing:

Stronger assembly of the panels: they are now glued and sewn together to make the canopy more rip resistant.

Streamlined Leading Edge End Tips:

The leading edge tips benefit from a reduced diameter, they are streamlined to lower the drag and equipped with a strap to avoid bridle tangling

Trailing Edge:

The internal outline of the trailing edge panels is no more linear but with a series of arches.

In the centre, DACRON has been replaced by a double layer of canopy fabric which improves spreading the tensions, maintaining the profile and brings new gains in stability and performance.

Vertical Strut Cut:

The kite's struts are designed with a vertical cut in order to optimize the strength / diameter ratio.

F-One Pulley:

Pulley structure is extremely resistant.

Bridle is integrated in the lower part of the pulley, working in its axis and not sideways.

Pulleys can be removed independently from the bridle, you can change the bridle and keep the pulley or vice versa.

Kevlar Reinforcement:

Most seams on the leading edge are protected with an abrasion-resistant Kevlar® fabric to prevent the seams from deteriorating when the kite's profile is subjected to aggressive ground friction

One-Pump Collar Valve:

Easier to remove and put back.

Convenient for bladder replacement.

Technoforce:

TECHNOFORCE™ of TEIJIN is a high density Polyester fabric with a tear stopping structure using thin and high tension yarn.

F-One Linx Control Bar:

The F-One Linx bar takes all the best bits of the Monolith Bar and added some great features to create the ultimate connection to your kite.

The Linx bar is available in two sizes, 52-45 and 45-38cm; this allows you to choose the perfect size bar for your quiver. The new integrated floats on the rear line not only offer a cleaner look; they also house the mechanism to adjust the size of your bar too.

A new One Line Flag Out safety system features this year and is now the standard for all F-ONE kites. There’s a high-quality corrosion proof Inox steel hub on the front lines that allows one line to slide. The first 6m of the front lines are larger in diameter for durability, and there is a stopper to prevent the bar from travelling too far away from you when the safety is engaged.

F-One have also added a manual swivel on top of the chicken loop this year; it uses a high-quality ball bearing and is easy to rotate even when powered. This allows you to untwist your front lines after performing rotational tricks and is a feature every rider is going to fall in love with!

The Lifeline safety connection has an added swivel, so there is no danger of twists affecting the release of the kite, and the same goes for the leash too. The safety can be set up in suicide mode for freestyle riders while still retaining full functionality when the chicken loop is released as the loop can slide through the Lifeline safety connection with ease.

There’s a new Inox steel ring on the front lines; riders can choose to run the front lines through this ring to give the kite a short V on the front lines. Or you can run the lines outside of this ring to have a full front V. Kites like the Furtive perform better with the full front V, while the Bandit flies better with the short V. This feature of the bar means you only need one kite bar regardless of your quiver of kites.

F-One have retained the ability to tune the rear lines, so if a line does stretch, you can still tune the bar so all the lines are equal and the kite will still fly properly.

The LINX bar features a smaller diameter to make it comfier in your hands and reduce fatigue and, of course, we have new fresh colours!
